Quaker Prayer and the Workings of the Holy Spirit - Auckland Community Day
Quakers have been described as the mystical arm of Christianity. Its 17th century English founder, George Fox, denounced organised religions and advised his followers that without the intervention of the clergy, ‘There is one, Christ Jesus, who can speak to thy condition’. Drawing on her experience as a Quaker in Aotearoa, Sue Stover will be sharing some Quaker understandings about prayer and the workings of the Holy Spirit wherever friends are gathered.

Travelling Light - Christchurch Community Day
The call to meditators to travel lightly through this world extends to every part of of our lives: our relationships, community, belongings, lifestyle, work life, leisure, and more. During our time together, Kathryn Fernando will invite us to explore this call through brief presentations, opportunities for personal reflection and group sharing, and periods of meditation.

Contemplation and Creation - Wellington Community Day
Join us for this community day at Home of Compassion in Island Bay, as we contemplate with creation. All are welcome, both experienced meditators and those new to Christian meditation.

A Christian Approach to Mindfulness - Auckland Community Day
Today, mindfulness is used widely—from treating anxiety to reducing offending—yet practitioners differ in purpose. What distinguishes mindfulness from Christian contemplation? How do we practice God’s presence, and to what do we attend?
Our facilitator, Jeffrey Robinson will help us to explore these questions, proposing that our life together in Aotearoa New Zealand—shaped by our diverse, rich spiritual heritage—be a basis for an authentically Kiwi contemplative practice.

John Main and Beyond - Waikato & Bay of Plenty Community Day
All are welcome welcome to join us for this Community Day. The morning session will be led by Peter Lander, who will present two John Main talks given to a group of meditators entitled: ‘Pilgrimage to the Centre’ and ‘Alive with the life of Christ.’
The afternoon session will be led by Brian Phipps who has been meditating for eight years and has come from a form of Centering Prayer. Brian will share some of his journey particularly ‘the place of presence’ the center of our soul.

Seven Day Silent Meditation Retreat
A silent meditation retreat is being held at Magnificat in the Wairarapa, 30 Nov – 7 Dec 2025. This retreat is suitable for people who have been meditating seriously for some time. Come and experience the gifts of silence and stillness with a daily flow of meditation, contemplative walks and a daily group sharing on a reading relevant to our deepening spiritual journey.

Celtic Spirituality Weekend Retreat
Over these days of retreat, you will be introduced to some riches offered by Celtic Christianity. We will begin by stepping over the threshold. Enter into silence and solitude, consider the breadth of soul friendship, and approach the presence of God. For each of these themes there will be suggestions for personal reflection or future engagement.

The Unseen God - Waikato & Bay of Plenty Community Day
We will be exploring the theme of The Unseen God - a reflection on Psalm 77. What difference does meditation bring to ourselves and those around us? How do we, as meditators, respond to what is happening in the world at present? We will hear from the wisdom of WCCM, Richard Rohr's Centre for Action and Contemplation and others, and will explore what we can individually do for ourselves and those around us during these uncertain times.

Finding Sanctuary - Wellington/ Kapiti Community Day
This community day is based on the book Finding Sanctuary: Monastic Steps for Everyday Life by Abbot Christopher Jamison of Worth Abbey, written after the unexpected popularity of the BBC TV series. All are welcome, both experienced meditators and those new to Christian meditation.
