NZCCM Auckland Community Day
Who is my family? Exploring Jesus’ teachings.
Fr James Mulligan is leading this Community Day on Saturday November 21st 2026 at St Patricks Church, 119-129 Seddon St, Pukekohe.
Our theme is the fulfilment of the Divine Will for the family based on Matthew 12:46-50. Together we will explore Jesus’ words, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” through the lens of the spirituality of Christian meditation.
Facilitator: Fr James Mulligan
Fr James Mulligan was introduced to meditation in the Christian tradition while serving with Fr Peter Murphy at St Mary’s, Papakura (2018–2021), and in his words, “has never looked back.” He has served in a variety of parish and chaplaincy contexts across the Auckland Diocese since 2005 and is currently Assistant Parish Priest on the Hibiscus Coast.
His own journey of recovery over the past decade has given him a particular interest in mental health and wellbeing. In 2025, he published Mulligan’s Musings: Reflections on God’s Unchanging Word in Changing Times.
