Christchurch Community for Christian Meditation Contemplative Prayer Day - Praying the Psalms
Our contemplative prayer days offer a gentle and spacious rhythm creating a restful environment. It is here we can slow down and draw near to God.
In June, our facilitator will be Colin Renouf, who will guide us in exploring our theme of Praying the Psalms. The Psalms are an area of special interest and passion for Colin. He lectured on them for BCNZ 20 years ago and two of the retreats he will lead at Sister Eveleen Retreat House this year will be built around the Psalms.
The Psalms are our Prayer Book, full of joy and complaint, praise and anguish. They instruct us in how to have an honest, full-throated relationship with God. We will work with both praise and lament in the session he leads.
Facilitator: Colin Renouf
