Pathway to Deepening

Pathway to Deepening Your
Christian Meditation Journey

For many years, the World Community for Christian Meditation had a ‘progression’ that people typically embarked to guide them from curiosity to maturity in the practice of Christian Meditation, and in sharing it’s gifts with others.

It included participation in an Introduction to Meditation Course, participation in a Weekly Meditation Group participation, an invitation to an Essential Training Weekend, which equipped an individual to lead a group themselves, and opportunities to attend a School of Meditation (now called the Deep Silent Retreat).

Over the decades that progression has become less prescriptive and more flexible. Though no two persons will walk the same pathway in the same way, there yet remains a discernable pathway across terrain that people sharing journeys would recognise.

NZCCM leadership is committed to supporting and strenghtening our community here in Aotearoa New Zealand. We hope to offer a gentle way to recapture that sense of a deepening pathway and to make people aware of the opportunities for formation, training and service that are available to pilgrims on the Christian meditation pathway.

As the National Co-ordinator I offer an orientation to the pathway and the landscape by way of my own story - in the hopes that you might find your own inspiration and recognise some of the sign-posts that are speaking to you at this time.
