Starlight | A Poem by Jeffrey Robinson

Starry night sky

Starlight

BY JEFFREY ROBINSON

I am but dust, but
The stuff of dreams,
We are star dust

 Star light,
Heavenly light,
Your light,
I AM, we are
Inside, the eternal sun
Always shining bright

 Even in that dreaded night
Clouded over with confusion
That cold, dark, lonely place
Love still penetrates
Light diffuse still infiltrates

We are such creatures that long
The universe is sung,
Listen to that sweet song,

 We are far flung,
Yet drawn together
Like lovers, dancing, gazing, embracing,
It is by such gracious love
We are w-on(e)
