Retreats And SeminarsJohn Main Seminar 2010 - The Shape of God's AffectionJames Alison, priest, theologian and writer will lead the 2010 John Main Seminar. He will help us to re-imagine what we mean by the uniqueness of Christ and explore how the Spirit enables us to overcome moralism and make room for a sane and just ecclesial form of life. Borrowing from one of his important mentors, René Girard, James will point to new ways out of the divisions and conflicts in ethical, sexual and social issues which can so distort Christian living. Laurence Freeman OSB will lead a pre-seminar retreat. The John Main Seminar is an annual event designed to broaden and deepen the teaching of Christian Meditation. It will bring together meditators from around the world and those who wish to discover the practice for the first time. Click here for the 2010 programme.
